Wallington Man Arrested Again in Lodi NJ for Possessing Heroin & Hypodermic Needles
Another routine traffic stop in Lodi, New Jersey turns up wax folds of heroin. It appears that a Lodi police officer pulled over a nineteen year old Wallington resident for a traffic violation and when he approached the vehicle he claims he immediately smelled burnt marijuana. As a result of his observations, the Defendant was asked to step out of the vehicle. Once outside the vehicle, the Defendant informed the officer that he had two hypodermic syringes in his underwear. As a result, the Defendant was placed under arrest. He also signed a consent to search form which allowed the officers to conduct a search of his vehicle. Inside the vehicle the officers discovered two wax folds of heroin. The Defendant was charged with possession of hypodermic needles and possession of heroin. He was taken back to the Lodi Police Department where he posted bail and was released.
The Defendant also has open charges pending in the Bergen County Superior Court, which include possession of heroin and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from an incident in Elmwood Park not more than a month ago.
