Saddle River NJ Police Arrest Two Would Be Burglaries

Saddle River NJ Criminal Defense LawyersAccording to the reports released by the Saddle River police department, they have arrested and charged two Paterson, New Jersey natives with among other things, burglary. It appears that the Defendant’s were attempting to break into a Saddle River home just before 11 am yesterday when they encountered the homeowner. The Defendants attempted to flee but thanks to the fast acting homeowners, the Saddle River police were able to pull over the Defendant’s vehicle before they were able to flee the town. It appears that the Defendants refused to consent to search their vehicle, so the Saddle River Police Department sought and obtained a search warrant for the car. Once they obtained the search warrant and searched the car, they discovered among other things, burglary tools and brass knuckle. 

As a result of their findings, the Defendants were charged with burglary in the third degree, defiant trespassing, possession of a weapon in the third degree, possession of burglary tools, possession of cds and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Defendants are currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on a $50,000 bail. If convicted of all charges, the Defendants could be sentenced to up a decade behind bars.
