Defendant Arrested & Charged with Distributing Marijuana in Wallington New Jersey
Several civilian complaints seemed to have pointed the Wallington Police Department in the right direction. According to the reports released thus far, several civilian complaints about an unusual amount of foot traffic in their neighborhood leads to an individual being arrested for distributing marijuana. While on patrol, a Wallington officer noticed a van who’s back taillight was out. When the officer approached the van, the driver attempted to conceal an item in the center console. The Defendant was asked to step outside the vehicle and in doing so the officer noticed he was carrying a baggie filled with marijuana. A subsequent search of his apartment was conduct after the Defendant signed a consent to search form and more than an ounce of marijuana, scales and baggies were located.
The Defendant was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. He was processed and released on a summons. His bail was set at an ROR status.
