Federal drug charges were brought sometime ago against a Passaic County man. However, this Passaic County man admitted in Federal Court in Newark (virtually) to conspiring to distribute heroin, and admitted to another charge. Carl Brown, from Paterson, New Jersey, pled guilty on Monday January 25. Mr. Brown, and his other conspirators, are allegedly part of the 230 Boys street gang. From September 2018 to to October 2019 Brown and others conspired to distribute narcotics, which included heroin. Law enforcement obtained evidence through controlled buys, consensual recorded telephone calls and text messages, physical surveillance, and telephone call details records. The case was conducted by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, as well as help from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, DEA, N.J. State Police, Paterson Police, Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, and many others.
