Hackensack Man Arrested & Charged with Providing Drive-Up Delivery of Marijuana in Bergen County
It has yet to be released what actually tipped off local law enforcement but a tip leads to a Hackensack man being charged with among other things, distribution of marijuana. The Defendant, a thirty-one (31) year old male from Hackensack, is accused of running a drive-up delivery service which provided marijuana and pot laced edibles to local Bergen County residents. The Bergen County narcotics task force, the Hackensack Police Department and the Bergen County sheriff’s K-9 unit executed a search warrant on the Defendant’s home yesterday. During the execution of the warrant, the officer’s seized more then a pound of marijuana, edible cakes laced with marijuana and hash oil. Also uncovered was $7,500 in cash and drug paraphernalia as well.
The Defendant was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of hash oil with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of hash oil and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Bergen County Jail where he remains being held on a $150,000 bail. He is scheduled for a first appearance in the Central Municipal Court of Bergen County in Hackensack on Monday.
