Another Burglary Reported in Glen Rock New Jersey

On 14th of January 2013, a home on Lincoln Avenue was broken into. The thieves stole approximately $150 worth of trinkets. Now, detectives in Glen Rock, New Jersey are investigating to determine who the perpetrators of these crimes are. The investigation remains ongoing. Police are looking for help from the public in dealing with this case.

Local homes are not the only places that are being targeted by these thieves. The Glen rock Police Department, according to its Facebook page, has received reports of multiple thefts from motor vehicles in the past week. Some of these vehicles have been left unlocked by their owners. Courting to the Glen Rock Police Department, these thieves are striking during the overnight hours. They are stealing small things like small valuables, or loose change. Also other items such as sunglasses have been reported as stolen from these vehicles. As a result, police are reminding individuals who live in the Glen Rock area to lock their vehicles overnight. While locking the doors is not a guarantee that the vehicles will not be targeted, a locked vehicle does not present as inviting of a target as one that has been left unlocked. Also, police are encouraging individuals to not leave their valuables in their car overnight.

If these individuals are caught, they will not only be charged with theft of movable property but also with burglary too. If the value of the items stolen totals over $200 then the Glen Rock police department will have to charge them with felony theft of movable property. In addition, the Bergen County prosecutors office will most likely charge the Defendant will third degree burglary as well.
