Bergen County NJ Resident Charged with Aggravated Assault & Attempted Murder

The Bergen County Prosecutor ‘s Office has arrested and charged three men as a result of a brawl that occurred outside a South Hackensack strip club called the Twins Plus Lounge. Initial reports indicate that the three men got into a verbal altercation, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation with four Garfield New Jersey residents. The fight quickly spilled out into the South Hackensack streets and when the scene was finally brought under control, four Garfield residents were determined to be in critical condition. Reports indicate that five ambulances in total were called to the scene taking the victims to several surrounding hospitals.

According to a statement released by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, one of the victims was struck in the head with a hammer while another member was stabbed several times in the torso. To makes matters worse, the reports indicate that one of the defendant’s also got into his vehicle and intentionally drove directly into two of the victims. One of the victims sustained several broken bones, two remain in critical condition, one of which has several skull fractures and the last victim is listed as in critical but stable condition.

One of the defendant’s is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on a $500,000 cash only bail as a result of two attempted murder charges. Another defendant has been charged with aggravated assault and also being held in the Bergen County Jail on $100,000 bail. The last defendant was released on his own recognize and has been charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office has also released a statement that this incident is still under investigation and that more charges may follow.
