Eluding Charges Issued in Bergen County for Trenton Man

Eluding Defense Lawyer in Hackensack NJA twenty-seven (27) year old Trenton man has been arrested and charged with among other things eluding in the second degree following an incident that started in Denville. It appears that the Defendant stole a van out of a small suburb in Morris County early Thursday morning before sending police on an eighteen (18) mile chase through Morris, Passaic and Bergen County. The Defendant was first spotted by New Jersey State Troopers on Route 80 at about mile marker 65 in Saddle Brook. The troopers attempted to stop the Defendant several times using their flashing lights and sirens but the Defendant failed to pull over. It wasn’t until the Defendant struck two vehicles and got pinned in by a combination of local police forces in Ridgefield Park that he finally came to a stop.

The Defendant was arrested and charged with eluding in the second degree, receiving stolen property in the third degree and theft in the third degree. He was processed at the New Jersey State Police Barracks and then taken to the Bergen County Jail. He remains being held their on a $250,000 bail. If convicted on all charges, the Defendant could be facing more then a decade behind bars.
