Passaic Teenager is Alleged to have taken Police on a Wild Police Chase Through two Counties
A Clifton teenager is alleged to have taken police on a wild police chase through both Bergen and Passaic County this week. It is unknown at this point in time what sparked the teenager to take off but when a Clifton Police Officer attempted to pull the teenager over he suddenly took off. Several different towns partook in the chase but it wasn’t until the Defendant crashed in the front lawn of a Hasbrouck Heights home that they were able to coral the Defendant. With that being said, the Defendant didn’t give up right away, he attempted to take off on foot and it wasn’t until a Hasbrouck Heights officer tackled the Defendant that they were able to get him into custody.
The Defendant was arrested and charged with eluding in the second degree, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (the car), resisting arrest and numerous driving tickets as well. He is currently being held in the Passaic County Jail.
