Elmwood Park Police Arrest Dumont & Bergenfield Residents on Heroin Possession Charges
Elmwood Park has announced that they have charged three more individuals with the unlawful possession of heroin. According to the reports, an Elmwood Park Police Officer stopped a thirty-one year old Dumont, NJ resident for a minor traffic violation around 4 pm yesterday. However, during the stop, the officers discovered that the Defendant was possessing more than 40 bags of heroin. The Defendant was arrested and charged with the unlawful possession of heroin in the third degree. He was released on a summons.
Then around 11 pm, another Elmwood Park officer pulled over a twenty-four and twenty year old Bergenfield residents for again violating the State’s traffic laws. A subsequent investigation turned up ten (10) bags of heroin. As a result, both Defendant’s were arrested and charged with the possession of heroin in the third degree. Both were released on summons as well.
