Glen Rock Officer nearly struck by DWI Driver
A 37 year old Fort Lee resident, nearly struck a Glen Rock police officer who was working emergency duty on Route of 208. According to the officers on scene, the Defendant was speeding and heading directly for them until he swerved at the last minute nearly missing the them but in doing so, he ran over road flares that had been set up on the side of the road. The Defendant was quickly pulled over and after subsequent field sobriety tests, he was formally charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving on the shoulder, failing to yield and leaving the scene of an accident.
