Westwood Resident Charged with Distributing Molly in Paramus, New Jersey

The Bergen County Narcotics Task Force has announced they have arrested and charged a Westwood, New Jersey native with distributing molly, which is a form of Ectasy in Paramus. According to the reports, the Defendant had arranged to meet with an individual in the Borough to sell nine ounces of Molly for $4,500. Unbeknownst to the Defendant, he was negotiating with an undercover detective and once the Defendant arrived, he was quickly placed into custody. The agreed upon nine ounce of Molly was discovered and the Defendant was formally charged with distributing molly. Due to the type of drug and the quantity possessed, the Defendant will be charged with a first degree felony. If convicted, the Defendant could be sentenced up to 20 years in a New Jersey State prison and fined up to $200,000. The Defendant is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on a $75,000.
