The Borough of Westwood is situated in the North Eastern side of the state of New Jersey. During the early parts of the 19th century this area was called by the majority of people Pleasantville. It was in 1826 that Pleasantville became part of Harrington Township, and then in 1914 was named Washington Township. Finally, in 1875 the name of Pleasantville was changed to Westwood. Over the years this borough has continued to expand, and is now the home to almost 11,000 residents. The city has a vibrant downtown area, and for this it has received the nickname ‘The Hub of the Pascack Valley’. Hours of Operation for the court are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. The court administrator is Letita Canderlor. Edward Johnson is the prosecutor at the Westwood Municipal Court. The Honorable Alan R. Karch is the presiding Judge of the Westwood Municipal Court.
