About the Borough of Fair Lawn:
The Borough of Fair Lawn stretches over five square miles in the western region of Bergen County and has a population of just fewer than 32,000. It is an old town with a lot of history. Over 250 years ago the Lenni-Lenapi Indians set up a fishing trap (known as the Weir) in the Passaic River. This trap is still visible today and people travel to the Fair Lawn Avenue Bridge when the water level is low for a view. Another historical site, which attracts people from all over is the Radburn, which was one of the first planned communities in the United States.
Although Fair Lawn has a very unique historical aspect too it, it also has a very modernized feel to it as well. Some of New Jersey busiest roadways such as Interstate 80, Route 4 and the Garden State Parkway all cut throw the small historical borough. With all these major highways crossing through Fair Lawn there should be no surprise with the abundance of DWI summons issued.
