Attempted Murder & Aggravated Assault Charges Issued in Little Ferry NJ
A teenager from Little Ferry New Jersey turned himself in early this morning after being on the run for a couple of days. The eighteen year old Bergen County NJ resident has been charged with attempted murder and other various assault type of offenses stemming from an incident with his girlfriend in Moonachie New Jersey. The initial reports indicate that the defendant punched the victim several times in the face and then when he fled the scene he struck the women with his car and dragged her in the process. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. Her medical condition has not been released.
As a result, the defendant has formally been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, hindering apprehension, leaving the scene of a accident with bodily injury, endangering an injured victim and terroristic threats. The defendant is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on a $385,000 bail. In addition, the victim has filed for a temporary restraining order {“TRO”}. The final restraining order hearing {“FRO”} has not been set yet. The restraining order will prevent the the defendant from contacting the victim.
