South Hackensack Resident Charged with DWI & Aggravated Assault in Fair Lawn NJ
It is alleged that a South Hackensack, New Jersey resident not only tried to leave the scene of an accident but also attempted to try and put the blame on a fictitious women. The Defendant, a twenty-nine (29) year old male, was involved in a motor vehicle accident, which sent the other driver to the hospital, in Fair Lawn early yesterday morning. When the police arrived and determined that the Defendant was possible under the influence, he attempted to persuade them that a women was actually driving and that she had fled the scene. The police weren’t buying the Defendant’s story and decided to place him under arrest for driving while intoxicated. When doing so, the Defendant became combative and struck one officer in the face with his elbow.
