According to the reports released by the Carlstadt Police Department, the Defendant, a thirty-six (36) year old male from Lodi, crashed his vehicle two separate times in a six block radius. The Defendant was believed to be fleeing from the first crash when he struck another vehicle before coming to a final stop when he smashed into a retaining wall. It appears that all five occupants from the first vehicle and one from the second where taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. It has been reported that both crashes were directly related to the Defendant running stop signs.
