Two Defendants in Fair Lawn New Jersey were arrested and charged earlier this week with various drug offenses following a month long investigation. According to the information released thus far, it appears that a tip sparked the month long investigation which came to an end Thursday when a search of their home on Elmary Place was conduct. It is unclear whether a search warrant was granted or whether the Defendants simply consented to the search but when it was all said in done, over a pound of marijuana, several prescription drugs and $16,000 in cash was discovered.
The one Defendant, a twenty (20) year old male was arrested and formally charged with possession of a marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park, possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The other Defendant, a nineteen (19) year old male, was only charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The twenty year old was taken to the Bergen County Jail and bail was set at $75,000 while the nineteen year old was released on his own recognizance.
