Lodi Man Charged with Possession of Heroin, Molly & Cocaine in Garfield
An illegal u-turn in Garfield, New Jersey leads to the arrest of a Lodi resident. The initial reports indicate that the Defendant, a twenty-three (23) year old Lodi resident, was pulled over by a Garfield police officer for making an illegal u-turn yesterday. Once the officer approached the Defendant’s vehicle, he alleges that it was immediately apparent that he was under the influence of some type of narcotic. Based on the officer’s observations, the Defendant was asked to step outside the vehicle to preform some Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Apparently, in the process of exiting the vehicle, the Defendant dropped a bag of drugs on the ground. The officer searched the bag and discovered, forty-three (43) bags of heroin, thirty-six (36) Xanax pills, one (1) bag of Molly and one (1) bag of cocaine.
The Defendant was arrested and charged with one count of possession of heroin, one count of possession of cocaine, one count of possession of Molly, one count of possession of prescription drugs (Xanax), possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI. The Defendant, who has a prior arrest history for drug offenses, is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on a $50,000 bail.
