Ramsey NJ Police Charge Lodi NJ Resident with Counts of Burglary
The Ramsey, New Jersey police have reported that they believe they have solved five more car burglaries, some of which stem back several months ago. The residents of Ramsey, New Jersey have been the victim of several car burglaries over the last few months. Apparently, as the victims would enter various fitness centers throughout the area, there cars where being burglarized by a Lodi, New Jersey resident. The defendant, whom was previously arrested and bailed out on two similar charges in Bergen County, was arrested for allegedly burglarizing several cars parked outside the Retro Fitness and New York Sports Club, both located on Route 17 in Ramsey.
The defendant is currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on $50,000 bail. He has a pending a Municipal Court hearing set for Tuesday on the new charges. The defendant has formally been charged with five counts burglary, five counts of theft of movable property and five counts of criminal mischief. Based on the defendant’s conduct, he will be formally charged with burglary in the third degree and theft of movable property in the third degree, provided the value of items in each count totaled more than $500.
