Palisades Park New Jersey resident charged with Prostitution
Prostitution is often referred to as the world’s oldest profession. This is said because throughout mankind’s history there have always been individuals who have chosen to, or who have been forced to engage in this activity. The results that this activity has had on our society have been tragic. For this reason law-enforcement agents have worked hard to try to curtail this activity. There is no age limit, or social status that prevents some individuals from engaging in prostitution. This can be seen from the following report.
Recently, a lady from Bergen County was arrested and charged with two counts of prostitution while on Long Island. This Bergen County resident was 54 years old. She has been identified as a resident of Palisades Park New Jersey. She was arrested when she on two sperate occasions offered to engage in a sexual acts for money when she was giving massages to men who, unbeknownst to her, were undercover police officers. These events took place in the Body Concepts in Valley Stream New York. This is a very common practice by law enforcement, whether it be in New York City or Bergen County New Jersey.
To make matters worse, it has been uncovered that the defendant is not licensed to give massages. So in addition to the two counts of prostitution that she was charged with, she was also charged with illegally practicing as a masseuse. Soliciting prostitution in New Jersey is a disorderly persons offense (misdemeanor). If convicted of this offense, a defendant could be sentenced up to six months in the Bergen County Jail and up to a $1000 fine.
