Weapons charges were brought by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office for a Passaic couple. Allegedly, the couple would use belt buckles and an electrical cords to discipline their children. Allegedly the abuse has been going on for years now. In the affidavit, one of the defendant’s admitted to taking the handle of the refrigerator and threatening the children with it. Besides the weapons charges, the couple also face aggravated assault charges as well as endangering the welfare of a child charges. Both were being held at the Passaic County Jail. Their court date is set for March 29.
