Michael DePalmaAn already bad week turns worse for a New York resident. A thirty-eight year old male from New York was arrested last Friday after he sent officers on a wild police chase down the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The chase began after officers learned the Defendant fled the scene of an accident in Rockland County, New York and it didn’t ended until he reached the George Washington Bridge entrance. A subsequent search incident to arrest also determined that the Defendant was in possession of various drugs, including cocaine and Xanax. He was arrested and charged in New Jersey with eluding in the second degree, possession of cocaine in the third degree and possession of prescription legend drugs (Xanax) in the third degree.

The Defendant was able to make bail on those charges and we released on a $50,000 bail. However, be didn’t remain free very long. Following a couple month long investigation by the New Milford Police Department, the Defendant was back in the Bergen County Jail as of Tuesday. This time he has been charged with criminal sexual contact and possession of child pornography. According to the reports released thus far, the Defendant met a sixteen (16) year old girl online and solicited the girl for sexually explicit photos. In addition, he also sent her lewd photos of himself and arranged to meet the teenager as well.
