Paramus NJ Police Arrested Two for Possessing Stolen Car
The Paramus police have arrested and charged two Paterson men with possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy to commit shoplifting after a license plate scanner tipped the officers off. According to the reports, a Paramus officer was just out on regular patrol when his scanner alerted them that a 2000 Honda Accord located in the Burlington Coat Factory parking lot was reported stolen. Based on the alert, the officer approached the vehicle which was being operated by two individuals and was able to take them into custody without incident. In the process, a third individual exited the store carrying a large garbage bag. Once he noticed his two colleagues were being arrested, he took off. A search of the bag revealed a bunch of stolen merchandise.
