Lodi Detectives Charge Three with Possession of Marijuana
Lodi detectives have arrested charged two Garfield men and a Saddle Brook women with possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident that occurred in the Borough yesterday. Based on the information released thus far, it appears that several Lodi narcotics detectives observed the Defendants pull into an abandoned parking lot. According to the detectives, it is alleged that once inside the parking lot one of the Defendant’s exited the vehicle and began rolling a cigar packed with marijuana, more commonly known as a blunt. Based on their observations, the detectives approached the vehicle and placed the Defendant under arrest. Upon investigating the scene, the detectives allege that in plain view inside the vehicle was additional marijuana and other forms of drug paraphernalia.
All three Defendant’s were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two of the Defendants posted their $5,000 bail and were released from the Lodi Police Department. The other Defendant was unable to post bail and was taken to the Bergen County Jail and is currently being held on a $5,000 bail.
