New Milford New Jersey home Burglarized

Throughout the summer of 2009, multiple homes were broken into and ransacked. The majority of these homes were owned by individuals of Indian descent. This is according to reports that were made by detectives in the Superior Court in Burlington County, New Jersey

When they describe the scenes, they said how the residents of the burglarized homes would return home to see their clothing, documents, and other possessions thrown around the rooms of their homes. Also, they found that screen doors were cut, and locks were pried open, or were broken. The answering machines in the victims’ homes had multiple phone calls on them that were made one after another during what police think was the time of the burglaries. Authorities believe that a 43-year-old man, who has addresses in both Pemberton Township, and New Milford was a part of a group of individuals who targeted the homes of individuals with Indian descent. The reason why the 43-year-old Defendant and his crew allegedly target these homes is because they felt that the owners of the homes, or their children must have valuables and jewelry.

The Defendant has been charged with multiple counts of armed burglary, in addition to other criminal charges. Ortiz adamantly denies his involvement in these burglaries, and has pleaded not guilty. If convicted of these charges the Defendant can be sentenced up to ten years in a New Jersey State Prison on each count. The Law Offices of Jonathan F.
