Mahwah NJ Police Arrest 4 After they are found to be in Possession of More then 13lbs of Marijuana

Drug Distribution Defense Attorneys in Mahwah New Jersey According to the reports released by the Mahwah police department, they have arrested and charged four individuals with possessing more then 13 pounds of marijuana. It appears that the officers after conducting a routine traffic stop, which turned into a search of the motor vehicle, decided to approach the drivers home. When they arrived at the home, they were confronted by an individual who refused to open the door and would only speak through a glass door. It is unclear at this point what happened next but it appears that the officers smelled “an extremely strong odor of marijuana” coming from inside the home. Based on these observations, the officers decided to force their way into the home. 

Once inside the home, the officers discovered approximately thirteen pounds of marijuana, $22,000 in cash and several other items that were consistent with the distribution of marijuana. All four individuals were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles. They are all currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on $100,000 bail.
