Armed Robbery in Elmwood Park, New Jersey

The Elmwood Park police department is looking for a teenager from Paramus, New Jersey in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last night in Elmwood Park. According to the details that have been released, authorities are searching for an eighteen (18) year old male from Paramus for his involvement with a drug deal turned robbery. According to the victim, she had arraigned to meet up with a teenager from Paramus in Elmwood Park to purchase some drugs. However, when the suspect entered the car, he pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the victim’s head and demanded she turn over all her money. The victim panicked and pressed the gas peddle, the suspect then allegedly grab the wheel, causing the victim to crash her car. The suspect then fled the scene with $50.

Since the victim knew the suspect, the Elmwood Park police department has issued arrest warrants for him. They include one count of first degree armed robbery and two counts of weapons offenses. They will most likely be unlawful possession of a weapon in the second degree and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose in the third degree.
