4 Defendants Charged with Robbery & Distribution of Prescription Drugs in Teaneck New Jersey

It appears that another potential prescription drug deal went wrong in Bergen County last month. Apparently, a individual replied to a craigslist add in hopes of purchasing illegal prescription drugs on the black market. The “victim” was told to meet the seller in Teaneck New Jersey, however, when he arrived and met the seller, two unknown individuals, posing as police officers approached him and took all of his valuables. The initial reports indicate that four individuals have been arrested as a result of this incident and police are still searching for one more individual.

The individuals were finally apprehended as a result of the victim reporting a description of the suspects vehicle to Detective Stephen Ramirez of Teaneck NJ. The vehicle was traced to an address in Lodi New Jersey and as a result the police were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence. A subsequent search revealed certain items that linked the individuals to the robbery. They have all been charged with charged with robbery or conspiracy to commit robbery, luring, possession of prescription drugs, drug distribution and drug paraphernalia. All of the suspects that have been arrested and charged in this matter are currently being held in the Bergen County Jail on a $100,000 bail.

The defendants will most likely be charged with robbery in the second degree. As well as, Possession of prescription drugs and prescription drug distribution in the third degree.  Based on all the charges, the defendants could be sentenced up to thirty-five years in a New Jersey State Prison.
